Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clerk Typist 2 for our Children and Youth department. As a Clerk Typist 2, you will provide administrative support and assist with various clerical duties. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being and development of children and youth in our community.
In this position, you will perform a variety of clerical support such as typing correspondence, electronic scanning/filing, and data entry. Your work will also include inputting client information into state and/or county databases, developing charts and spreadsheets, assisting caseworkers, supervisors, and managers of the Child Protective Services Unit, and performing other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule and Additional Information: - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: - Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
- Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements: - You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
