Job Description

We are seeking a Corporate Fine Dining Sous Chef, for the executive team of a midtown Manhattan company . Do you have a strong attention to detail and keep a meticulous kitchen? If you are passionate about developing innovative creative menus with the freshest seasonal high quality ingredients, where quality truly matters, we would love to hear from you!

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Manage the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Assist in innovative daily menu planning that feature high quality, seasonal ingredients, and accommodate special requests
  • Planning and handling food preparation, per the Executive Chef’s direction, at highest quality in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Properly manage all food deliveries by adhering to the FIFO method, ensuring minimal food waste and spoilage.
  • Maintain a seamless kitchen, menu planning, purchasing, receiving, and inventory control

Sous Chef Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ year of experience in a fine dining or corporate dining environment
  • Strong comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced business environment
  • Must have valid NYC Certificate in Food Protection
