TEAM Arene's mission is to simplify vehicle software development and increase developer agility by crafting tools and processes which enable novel uses of vehicles without compromising safety.
The Chief Engineer Office's mission is to lead global technical activities such as high level requirements, architecture and validation, through harmonized processes and tools. To deliver the vehicle platform with the desired Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) to Toyota, it is crucial to align our development plans, processes and products with Toyota's products life cycle. We do Systems Engineering, and transform needs into solutions.
You will report to the Head of Chief Engineer Office, and this role's workplace type is hybrid - you will work in the office at least 3 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead our team's "functional safety" efforts for automotive middleware development
- Plan, coordinate and track all activities related to the ISO 26262, in all relevant phases of an Agile developed project
- Take ownership and responsibility for the successful product safety assessment and certification.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Engineering degree in software, electrical or control systems
- Standards in the automotive industry (e.g. ISO 26262, AUTOSAR C++, MISRA C/C++)
- At least 5 years of experience coordinating ISO26262 functional safety activities for software development
- Excellent knowledge about safety engineering, safety processes and safety
- Experience with software development (C / C++)
NICE TO HAVES - Experience with Real-Time Embedded / Automotive software development (C / C++)
- Proven record of successful completion of ISO26262 product certification processes
- Knowledge of modern system languages (RUST)
- Familiar with designing and analyzing fault tolerant systems
- Familiar with modern development tools (Containerization, CI/CD, etc.)
- Familiar with cloud infrastructure and tools
